Dollar General #1955, 785 W. Market St., Troy — Freezers are currently not working. Manager states new ones are coming in this week.
Homestead Golf Course Pop House, 5327 Worley Road, Tipp City — Water sample for pop house must be submitted/mailed to health department so the results can be placed on file. If results come back positive for bacteria, water cannot be used until well is disinfected.
Tokyo Peking, 3 N. Market St., Troy — Critical violation at time of inspection: observed cabbage on counter at 74 degrees Fahrenheit. All cut leafy greens must be kept at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit to reduce growth. CORRECTED. Critical violation at time of inspection: Observed cook only washing pots and other equipment. Equipment must also be sanitized every four hours.
Troy Marathon, 801 W. Main St., Troy — Observed growth on inside of ice machine. Break down machine and clean more often to prevent growth. Datemarking – boiled eggs are purchased from another facility. They have a date of Aug. 12 and Aug. 15. Well past seven-day date. Provide information of why they are good past seven days if you want to use them that way.
Boston Stoker, 1293 S. Dorset Road, Troy — Facility rinses utensils out but be sure to wash, rinse, sanitize all utensils and equipment at least every four hours. Satisfactory at time of inspection.
Fraternal Order of Eagles #3998, 715 E. Broadway St., Covington — Critical violation at time of inspection: Observed packages of raw meat on shelf next to bread. Raw meat must be stored separately from ready-to-eat foods to prevent contamination. CORRECTED.
Steak n Shake, 1779 W. Main St., Troy — The milk machine cover plate is still missing allowing splash. Replace cover plate ASAP. The shelf below grill continues to have accumulation of food debris of grease/egg shells/other food debris. Critical violation at time of inspection: observed hand sink at burger grill with pickles, plastic glove and grill scraper in bottom of sink. Hand sinks are for handwashing only to prevent contamination. Foul odor coming from below dishmachine. No water observed now. Critical violation at time of inspection: still have gnats below dishmachine. Area needs cleaned. Area needs dried up. Consult pest control. Manager states maintenance hasn’t been in for repairs even though contacted. Continue to observe wait staff doing dishes because no dishwasher is available. Counseled worker to always wash hands after handling dirty dishes.
Grounds for Pleasure Coffeehouse, 115 E. Main St., Tipp City — Floor and lower area surfaces have some build-up. Clean more regularly. Equipment such as microwave has some buildup. Clean every 24 hours or daily.

KFC #1, 21 S. Stanfield Road, Troy — Observed food splash on under side of pop dispensers. The food warmers have food residue on inside. Clean equipment often to prevent accumulation of food debris and growth. The wall in chicken cooler is still damaged and needs repaired to be smooth and easily cleanable. Sufficient notice has been given. Please repair soon.
Wendy’s #184, 825 W. Main St., Troy — Observed the shelving is above the three-tank sink to be flaking material. The shelving in the walk-in has some rust spots also. Repair or replace the shelving.
Piqua Country Club Snackbar, 9812 Country Club Road, Piqua — Observed tiki bar being used for mixing drinks. Health department has not approved use of this area for mixing drinks or processes. Management removed mixing items until issue is resolved. Contact health department when equipment needs are met. Defrost freezer and monitor temperature. Some items are slightly thawed.
