Dog obedience classes offered

TIPP CITY — This six week course will shine a new light on fun and innovative ways to connect and clearly communicate with your puppy. Help your puppy get off on the right paw by learning how to prevent and problem-solve common behavioral issues. This class will give you the tools needed to help shape them into a well-rounded member of your forever family. Next class begins on Jan. 25.

Library offers job search help

WEST MILTON – Unemployed? Need assistance finding a job — or simply finding a better job? Milton-Union Public Library is bringing back employment specialist Jeff Steele of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley for a Community Employment Workshop. Drop in anytime between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28. Bring a resume and be prepared to leave with job leads.

Steele will offer assistance and answer questions concerning resume building, ride finding, job seeking, and the Federal Bonding Program.

Computer help available

WEST MILTON — If you are still figuring out how to navigate a computer or a new Windows program, the Milton-Union Public Library has two options to help.

First, retired librarian Valerie McKay will offer one-on-one tutoring in “Basic Computer Skills” from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 25. Sign up for a 20 minute slot. Bring your own laptop or use one of the library’s.

If you have a specific question about your personal computer or digital technology, you can also sign up for a one-on-one session with local computer expert Bill Coate. Coate will be meeting with patrons in 20-minute time slots from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Purses sought for auction

TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services is looking for new or gently used purses, scarves and jewelry for the fourth annual Purse Auction on March 19.

TMCS will be hosting the Purse Auction and luncheon Saturday, March 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tipp City United Methodist Church.

Cost of a ticket is $20. Proceeds will go to the Lunch on Us Program which served 5,355 lunches during the summer of 2015. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 15 at TMCS office at 3 E. Main Street, during office hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Call 667-8631 for more information.
