Trustees discuss passage of levies

MONROE TOWNSHIP — The Monroe Township Trustees took time during their Nov. 21 board meeting to acknowledge the passage of two levies sponsored by the township on this year’s Nov. 8 ballot.

The trustees also extended thanks and appreciation to voters for approving the township’s fire and EMS combined tax levy of 2.0 mills in the unincorporated area of Monroe Township for the next five years, and for favoring the Tipp Monroe Community Services five-year, 0.5 mill replacement tax levy.

In other business, the board set dates for the township’s employee reviews on December 21, and a year-end township meeting for 9 a.m. Dec. 30, and authorized bills to be paid totaling $13,939.63.

Other meetings set for December will be the next township trustees on December 5 at 7 p.m. and a Monroe Township Water and Sewer District Board of Trustees meeting 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Both meetings are open to the public and are held in the township’s meeting room at 6 E. Main St., Tipp City. Another meeting open to the public is a business meeting held by Tipp City Seniors, Inc. currently at 320 S. First St., Tipp City, on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 10 a.m.
