United Way asks for community support

For the Weekly Record Herald

TIPP CITY — Dozens of local volunteer campaigners have been working diligently throughout Tipp City, Monroe, and Bethel Township areas raising funds for our 19 local partner agencies. Our annual campaign drive ends November 16 with lots more work to achieve.

Campaign Chairman, Stan Evans states, “How much would you give to turn a person’s life around? To offer a safe haven to someone who has been abused? To empower a disabled child? I am hoping folks from our community understands the importance, and decides to give a donation. It’s not too late.”

“You may be asking yourself, why give Tipp City Area United Way my hard-earned money?” Pam Catalano, Co-Campaign Chair interjected. ”There are many reasons why, United Way is a community based effort that assures givers, as well as receivers, have an essential network of high quality human-care services that will continue to exist.” Continued, Pam.

Stan goes on to say, “Another reason to give is that every dollar you give to Tipp City Area United Way, makes a big difference for your neighbors, and friends in our area. 99% of all monies raised here, stays here to make the greatest impact in our community.” Stan continued, “Our partner agencies report an increase in demand and provide an incredible variety of valuable services to the men, women, children and families of the Tipp City area. You can see a full list on our website or pick up a brochure at our office.”

“Many people in our community have used United Way agencies, without even knowing…like Hospice of Miami County, Well Child Clinic and Prenatal Clinic, Needy Baskets, or family-oriented organizations like YMCA-Robinson Branch.” Commented Pam, and went on to say, “Even if you or members or your family haven’t used United Way services, it’s comforting to know that they will be there should you ever need them in the future. Anyone of us is just one catastrophic event away from being in a position where services would be vital. Whether it be a financial crisis, an on-going health issue or even a situation where you’re just needing someone to talk to; our partner agencies are here to help!”
