Players to put on “Noises Off”

For the Weekly Record Herald

TIPP CITY — Come enjoy a good hearty laugh with an Hors D’oeuvre and Dessert Theater production of “Noises Off” by the Tipp City Players Community Theater.

The players will present “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn at the Tipp City Zion Lutheran Church Aug. 27-30.

“Noises Off” is a roller coaster, side-splitting look at theatre — inside and out — as a hapless troupe of actors attempt to mount the dreadful comedy “Nothing On.” Door slamming, missed cues, and romantic intrigue will have you roaring with laughter as the casts’ collective sanity slowly unravels.

Yet, the show must go on; despite the catastrophe being played out on stage and the vicious antics among the actors backstage.

All-the-while, an ill-fated tray of sardines mysteriously appears and disappears.

Cast includes Jeanette McDaniel (Troy), Zach Dever (Tipp City), Kyrsten McCann (Vandalia), Jon Cox (Tipp City), Madison Galloway (Vandalia), Andy Hooper (Tipp City), Ehmily Mikel (Vandalia), Fred Hill (Huber Heights) and Jim Hooper (Tipp City.

Directed by Jim Hooper, Produced by Julie Pottenger

Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

The show will be presented on Aug. 27-29 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Tipp City Zion Lutheran Church located at 14 W. Walnut St., Tipp City, Ohio.
