TIPP CITY — Two men were stabbed and a third injured during a get-together early Sunday morning.
According to Miami County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brian Peoples, police were called to the scene in the 6500 block of South County Road between 2-2:30 a.m. Sunday in response to a disturbance at a large party being held on the property.
Upon arrival, Peoples said two men were found to have been stabbed and another had a hand injury.
One man was stabbed in the stomach, back and arm, and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, for treatment of his injuries.
A second man was stabbed in the arm and transported to Grandview Hospital, also in Dayton, for treatment.
A third man, with a hand injury, not at this time known if it was caused by a knife, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The knife used to stab the men is believed to be some sort of pocketknife, Peoples said.
Peoples said none of the men’s names have been released and their conditions are unknown, and no one has been officially charged.
“It is still under investigation at this point,” Peoples said, saying that charges likely will be filed at the conclusion of the investigation.
Peoples said those in attendance at the party ranged in age from 18 to mid-20s, and alcohol was present at the event, however he did not know if alcohol led to the cause of the stabbings.
