Tipp business lobbies in DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In November, two members of Energy Optimizers, USA’s, senior leadership team traveled to Washington, D.C., to join a national delegation that lobbied congressional leaders for clean energy.

President and CEO Greg Smith and vice president and director of lighting sales Doug Trimbach joined other entrepreneurs, executives and investors from around the nation at the fifth annual Washington, D.C., Forum, hosted by Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2). During the forum, which ran from Nov. 16-18, participants attended high-level briefings with senior government officials and thought leaders on current policy debates and met with leaders in Congress and the administration on legislative priorities.

Closer to home, Smith has also been fiercely lobbying Ohio legislators to move forward with the state’s clean energy standards under Senate Bill 310.

Based in Tipp City, Energy Optimizers, USA, works with educational, governmental, commercial and industrial customers to implement energy savings opportunities to reduce operational costs, including lighting retrofits, renewable energy projects (wind and solar), HVAC retrofit projects, building automation retrofits and energy education programs.
