To the Editor:
Want to learn new skills while giving back to the community? You can by becoming a Tax-Aide volunteer. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has opportunities for you. You can become a counselor, preparing taxes, a greeter, welcoming and assisting people with their paperwork, or a technology coordinator. The AARP foundation will supply you with the materials and the training in January so you can become an IRS certified counselor at the Advanced Level. Also, you will be supported by people who have years of experience with the program.
Tax-Aide has been supplying people with low to moderate incomes, with special attention to those over 60, free tax service since 1968. Now is the time for you to do something that can make a difference in someone else’s life.
