To the Editor,
The fifth annual cemetery walk “If Tombstones Could Talk …” took place on June 7. We would like to thank all those who take their time and make such an effort to provide this community event.
Thanks to Nancy Creech and the Township Trustees for providing information and seeing that Maple Hill is presentable. Thanks to Phil Wampler, Scott Hoover, Susan Furlong, Stan Evans and John Crull for the time and effort they put into their presentations. Thanks also to Paula Jones, Hank and Cinda Barthel, Peg and Hugh Hadden and Gary and Karen Kuziensky for making sure each presenter had what they needed for the day. And what would the community do without the tireless efforts of Peg Hadden for dressing people for numerous productions?
Thanks also to KIT-TV for providing equipment, DVDs, and for airing the walk on the local access station. And thanks to Gordon and Joanna Pittenger for doing the recording. This allows those who were not able to attend to be able to enjoy it.
We appreciate all the members who helped in so many ways. And we especially appreciate all those who attend, some of whom have attended every one. Your attendance and appreciative comments are what make the time and effort all worthwhile.
