The Cakery, 1875 W. Main St., Troy — Observed accumulation of soil residue on nonfood-contact surfaces of containers and equipment. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues. The painted walls are stained near the hand sink by sprayer. Cover walls with material that is cleanable.
Troy BK Rootbeer Inc., 2790 Stonecircle Dr., Troy — The gaskets on the two door refrigerator are broken and need replaced. The hand sink in the kitchen is broken and needs repaired. The plumbing system was not properly repaired. Observed the back door open without proper protection against the entry of insects and rodents.

Meijer Gas Station, 1990 W. Main St., Troy — Critical violation: observed loosely wrapped commercially manufactures country fried chicken and hamburger sandwiches with a 14-day date mark in the walk-in cooler. The employees showed directions supplied to the that they can be refrigerated up to 14 days. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, and TCS foods held in refrigerator for more than 24 hours were not properly date marked. Date mark and use sandwiches within seven days. To prevent food-borne illness, refrigerated, RTE and TCS foods held at a temperature of 41F or less for more than 24 hours shall be clearly marked at the time of preparation or the time the original container is opened to indicate the date or day, at a maximum of seven days, by which the food shall be consumed, sold or discarded.

Worker states that they are supposed to only have a seven day date limit and that they were mismarked. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, and TCS foods held in refrigerator for more than 24 hours were not properly date marked. Date mark and use sandwiches within seven days. Observed water leaking from the pop machine above. Repair equipment. Observed a dark liquid dripping on the wrapped straws and styrofoam cups below the pop machine. Remove articles from area until machine is properly repaired not to leak. Observed mops being dried using an unapproved method.
