M-U levy passes

Staff reports

WEST MILTON — The renewal income levy for Milton-Union schools unofficially passed 60 percent to 40 percent on Nov. 3.

Milton-Union Schools Superintendent Ginny Rammel expressed her gratitude to voters for passing the renewal, stating the levy ultimately helped the school district support students.

“I’m very proud of our community,” she said. “It feels good seeing the levy pass, and I’m glad to see our community working together to support our kids.”

The millage for the levy is 3.9 mills, which has remained the same since it was originally passed in 1991, and will bring in approximately $380,000 per year.
