Annual United Way campaign kicks off

For the Weekly Record Herald

TIPP CITY — Tipp City Area United Way’s 2016 Annual Campaign is underway and community support is needed to achieve their goal of $150,000.00.

“I love this community! It’s a vibrant area where we work, live and play. Everyone bands together when it is needed, and there are many strong partnerships in our community,” Campaign Chair Pam Catalano said. “Tipp City Area United Way is looking forward to once again receiving your community support.”

The fundraising activities and operation of the local United Way is distinct from other organizations, because it is not exclusively affiliated with any particular group, Co-Campaign Chair Phil Cox added.

“In the Tipp City, Monroe and Bethel Township areas, we have a reciprocal relationship with our Partner Agencies. We are their fund raising intermediary and they are our motivation,” Cos said. “Our focus is on the community goal of making support services strong. We partner with businesses and individual donors to create and maintain a strong social service infrastructure.”

The Tipp City United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. The United Way realizes that a quality education that leads to a stable job with enough income to support a family through retirement and good health are the building blocks to a better life.

The United Way supports programs operated by trusted, local nonprofit organizations, and that’s why they are asking you to give where you live, give where you work, and keep it in our community.

The best thing about giving to your local United Way is that the dollars stay here locally to be invested in our community, helping your friends and neighbors. Every single dollar counts, and makes a real difference.
