July 15

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of Fairview Avenue, Bradford, in reference to a theft incident.

JAIL INCIDENT: A deputy responded to the Miami County Incarceration Facility in reference to an assault. At the conclusion of the investigation, both subjects were charged with assault.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to 8 Troy Place, Casstown, on a theft complaint. The complainant stated someone had taken items from his vehicles overnight.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: It was reported that the S and J Truck and Trailer Repair Inc., in Bethel Township, fence was cut to the outdoor storage area by an unknown individual. The person then entered the storage yard and removed the catalytic converter from a truck. The reporting party reported that there was video footage of this incident.

WARRANT: A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black jeep for an expired registration. After talking with the driver of the vehicle, he was identified as Austin Cooper. Cooper was found to have a suspended drivers license and an active warrant out of Shelby County. Cooper was taken into custody and transported to the Miami/Shelby county line after the warrant was confirmed. Cooper was issued a citation for DUS and turned over to the custody of a Sidney police officer.

July 16

THEFT: It was reported that someone had entered the residence in the 8000 block of Flick Road, Tipp City, and taken $1000.

NO SWIMMING: A deputy spoke with Rebecca and Matthew Bayman who were located at Ludlow Falls near the creek. They were just getting ready to go swimming when the deputy advised them of the no swimming ordinance and stated that included wading. They stated they understood and would go somewhere else.

The deputy also spoke to Gabriel Clark who had just pulled in to go swimming. He was also advised of Ludlow Falls Ordinance 106.

July 17

AGAIN, NO SWIMMING: A complaint of people swimming at Ludlow Falls was called into 911. Upon the deputy’s arrival to the area, he ordered everyone out of the water and up to the parking lot. All the individuals were found to be wet from being in the water of Ludlow Creek. They were all cited into court for swimming or wading in Ludlow Creek in the village of Ludlow Falls.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A deputy was dispatched to the 4700 block of State Route 36, Fletcher, for a disorderly complaint. Dispatch advised that a male was lying in front of a fence next to the roadway at the listed address and possibly intoxicated. The male was located and cited for disorderly conduct. The male was taken to the Miami County Jail until he sobered up.
