Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:

July 8

WARRANT: Deputies stopped out at the 900 block of North Kent Street in Troy, in an attempt to serve Megan Grove with civil paperwork and an arrest warrant. Grove was contacted and served with the civil paperwork. Montgomery County was contacted and confirmed the arrest warrant. Grove was then taken into custody and transported to the Miami County Jail.

July 9

HEADSTONE ISSUE: A Tipp City resident reported that her great, great, great, great relatives head stones were being sold in an auction in Medway. She said that the headstones were stolen from the cemetery at 9956 Bellefontaine Road, which is in the Miami County Sheriff’s Office’s jurisdiction. At this time there is not enough evidence to say the headstones were stolen. This case is inactive.

OVI: A deputy stopped the listed vehicle for a moving violation. I made contact with the driver who was identified as the defendant Aaron V. Devenport. After further investigation, Devenport was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for OVI.

CHECKS GONE: A deputy responded to the 6400 block of South Rangeline Road, Union Twp., in reference a theft of checks from a motor vehicle.

July 11

FATAL ACCIDENT: Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Washington Road and Eldean Road. The accident resulted in the driver of one vehicle being fatally injured.

FURNACE: Deputies responded to the 600 block of Miami Avenue, Bradford, in reference a furnace stolen from the residence.

OVERDOSE: A deputy was dispatched to an assist squad. The deputy spoke with Adam Plantz and Gabe Ferguson. Adam stated that Gabe came over to their house and seemed like he was “out of it.” Adam stated Gabe became non-responsive. Plantz called 911 and began CPR. Troy squad arrived on scene and administered Narcan to Ferguson. Ferguson was revived with the Narcan. Ferguson stated he had used prior to being dropped off at Plantz’s house. Ferguson refused to go to the hospital with EMS. Ferguson called his mother to come pick him up.

July 12

WARRANTS: During a traffic stop the passenger Joe Raines was discovered to have several active warrants. Raines was taken into custody for those warrants and turned over the Shelby County.
