TROY — The summer fun continues in downtown Troy at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 24 with the Southwest Ohio based band, This Side Up.
Troy Main Street will present a band that performs familiar hits from a vast library of music that spans decades of radio play. This Side Up will be the second group to play on Prouty Plaza during the Downtown Troy Summer Concert Series.
The band is a familiar favorite to the Downtown Troy Summer Concert Series, as they have performed on the square in 2013 and in 2010. This Side Up’s set list spans several decades and reaches as far back as the 1950’s to contemporary popular music, and uses a unique blend of music from several different genres. The band has grown into a dance-oriented party band, playing hits from pop, rock, R&B, country and oldies.
Plan on spending an evening downtown with your family and friends and enjoy the harmonious and fun style of This Side Up. The band says the performance will be guaranteed to “leave you wanting more at the end of the night.” The concert is free and open to the public.
This Side Up is presented by Troy Main Street with sponsorship from Alvetro Orthodontics, Troy CARSTAR, Steve and Marty Baker, and Troy Community Radio. The Downtown Troy Summer Concert Series is a collaborative effort between the Troy Foundation, Troy Main Street, Troy-Hayner Cultural Center and the city of Troy.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the next two concerts presented by Troy Main Street in the Downtown Troy Summer Concert Series. On Friday, July 29, TMS will host the bluegrass band, Mad River Railroad, and the summer music series will conclude with a fan favorite, Hotel California, on Friday, Aug. 5.
