TROY — Corky Siegel returns to the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center on April 9, this time with the Chamber Blues project.
Imagine the remarkable virtuoso Corky Siegel playing the harmonica on stage with the energetic brilliance of the West End String Quartet. It is a blending of classical and blues that opens boundaries and breathes new life in the blues and chamber music alike. This unique chamber group is described as “Blues-classical alchemy.” The Blues Revue Magazine says that, “Watching them perform is nearly as much fun as hearing them play.” Stereophile Magazine says, “… fantastic … I’ve never heard anyone play harp with this much body and harmonic delicacy … I guarantee you’ve never heard anything quite like it.”
This concert will be free and open to the public thanks to the support of a local tax levy and the Friends of Hayner organization.
There are no reservations and seating is limited so please come early to secure your seat.
