Public Health inspection reports available online

Staff Reports

TROY — Miami County Public Health’s health inspection reports are now available online. Starting Friday, inspection reports from restaurants, grocery stores, swimming pools and campgrounds will be available to view on the Miami County Public Health website.

“This will allow everyone to have instant access to these reports and have the latest information on these facilities throughout Miami County,” Dennis Propes, health commissioner, said.

Facilities such as restaurants, grocery stores, swimming pools and campgrounds are licensed annually according to Ohio Revised Code. Sanitarians from Miami County Public Health inspect the facilities to ensure they are meeting the health requirements of the law. The frequency of inspections will vary depending on the type of license the facility has. Typically, most facilities will be inspected between one and four times per year.

To access the inspection reports, go to www.miamicountyhealth.net and click on the “Inspection Reports” link on the homepage.
