TIPP CITY - The Tipp City Post Office city and rural carriers will be participating again this year in the “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive on Saturday, May 11.

This is the largest one day food drive in the world with more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collecting non-perishable food items for local area food pantries. In Tipp City the food items collected will be sent to Bethel Hope, the Needy Basket, and Victory Assembly - all local food pantries.

All residents need to do is place their donated food items by their mailbox for the carrier to collect. The post office will also be accepting items in their lobby.

For more information, contact the Tipp City Post Office at (937)-667-3012.

TIPP CITY - Do you know where Ragtown was? How about Grayson, or Livingston? There are 20 or so “forgotten communities” in Miami County that were once thriving but are now gone or known only by a name.

On Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m., Doug Christian will present a program of pictures and stories of some of these communities. It is open to the public and will be at the Tipp City Government Center on S. Garber Drive.
