TIPP CITY - Tipp Monroe Community Services announces open gym for adults.

 

The nets will be up for pick-up games of co-ed volleyball from 7-9 p.m. Thursday nights April 8 – May 13 at Broadway Elementary.

 

All men are invited to just come on out and play from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday nights April 7 - May 12 at Broadway Elementary. Limit 30 per night, played on half court.

 

 

TMCS is offering classes beginning in April. Take advantage of this opportunity to discover something new.

 

The upcoming Financial Planning class “Unintended Consequences,” is 6-7 p.m. April 22. Computer Classes will be “Protect your PC” against viruses, spy ware and other threats, 7-8 p.m. April 19 and Basic Computers 3 and 4, 9-11 a.m. April 21, learn to save, organize and find information on your computer.

 

There will be a Youth Craft Workshop from 3-4:40 p.m. April 14 where kids can make two crafts using fabric, glitter, feathers and gooey gunk too.

 

 

Tipp Monroe Community Services is looking for volunteer instructors. If you have a special skill or hobby that you are willing to share, TMCS needs you. Instructors are always needed to teach new classes and programs.

TROY - Child Care Choices annual benefit auction, “Hooray for Hollywood,” will be held at 6 p.m. April 17 in the Crystal Room at Club 55. The festivities will feature hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live auction with auctioneer Galen Gingrich, a silent auction, and a raffle for a one-week trip to Tobago.

 

Auction items will include some real Hollywood trivia including a signed script from both “Days of Our Lives” and “Glee.” There will be theme baskets, tools, gardening plants and materials, children’s items, a Wall of Wine and gift certificates. Entertainment will include a Star Wars presentation, games and music.
